Digital Product Policy

  • Each digital product comes with one of the following limited reproduction licenses:
    • Single User License - This digital license is for use by ONE individual. The licensed user may use the file on any device or computer and may print it, but may not sell, share, copy, transfer or distribute files or prints to people not covered by the license. The file may be shared ONLY with members of the licensed user's immediate family or household.
    • Classroom License: This digital license is for use by ONE teacher with his/her direct students as long as he/she is a teacher at that school. The licensed user may use the file on any device or computer and may print it, but may not sell, share, copy, transfer or distribute files or prints to people not covered by the license. Multiple teachers in the same school must each have their own purchased license.  If a Classroom License holder leaves the school, the digital files must be erased from the user's device and the license may be transferred to a new teacher. 
  • Customers can log in to the Site at any time (username and password was created at checkout when purchasing digital products, or a login directions were emailed to license users after licenses were purchased on a PO) from the date of purchase to download and save all digital products, and/or check for digital products or updates beyond the date of purchase.
  • Customers are responsible for saving and backing up all digital products on their own devices.
  • Digital products purchased from Hello Literacy MAY NOT be stored electronically on Google Drive. Each purchases/license user must store digital files on the local drive of their own device.  Digital products may not be stored on school or district servers without express written permission from Hello Literacy, Inc. 
  • Digital products purchased from Hello Literacy MAY NOT be shared electronically or physically, or printed for anyone who did not purchase or does not hold a user license. 
  • Customers are responsible for checking for updates and changes to digital products, it not the responsibility of Hello Literacy to notify customers if and when changes or updates have been made to digital products. 
  • Files will be available as long as the product is available on the Site.
  • Digital files will not be replaced. 
  • All downloads purchased through Hello Decodables are DRM-free.
  • Digital products are not returnable and are not eligible for refunds.
  • Purchasing Digital Products via A Purchase Order: We do not recommend purchasing digital products via a Purchase Order as the end user has no way of being made aware of digital product updates, which is the user's responsibility. It is not Hello Literacy's responsibility to notify PO customers who purchased digital products if and when changes and updates have been made to digital products. Therefore, if your school or district insists on purchasing digital products via a Purchase Order, and especially when multiple Teacher Licenses are purchased via a PO, for example, if 18 Teacher Licenses are purchased for digital products, then 18 district email address must be provided to Hello Literacy, and Site accounts will be created for them so each teacher holding a purchased license for digital products has the ability and access to login to the Site to download the digital products and and check for updates and changes on their own. 
  • You as the purchaser are responsible for making sure you are appropriately equipped with the devices, software, programs, software, storage and wifi access you need to download, save and use the particular format of the product you purchase.  
    • PDF Files can be read on most tablets, phones and personal computers. For use on a computer, you will need a PDF reader such as the free Adobe Reader.
    • MP3 is an audio format for digital audio. It is supported on most devices and computers. Additional apps may be required.
    • ZIP Files group multiple PDFs and/or MP3s into a single compressed folder. Once you download the file, open the ZIP folder on your computer to access the individual PDFs/MP3s. If you plan to use your PDFs/MP3s on a mobile device, you may need to download the ZIP file to your computer first and then transfer individual PDFs/MP3s to your device, or use a ZIP file management app on your device.
