FOR FICTION & NONFICTION DECODABLES

UFLI Skills
ALIGNMENT WITH HELLO DECODABLES
Many teachers have been asking me if Hello Decodables align with the skill order in UFLI Foundations, so I created this Skills At A Glance page to show where the skills are taught in the Hello Decodables. With the exception of skill 72. -ild, -old, -alt, -ost that is taught before it is in mine, all the other 128 skills are taught are the same order OR taught ahead of UFLI, which means they'll know it when they come to it.
Phonics Prompts
DECODING STRATEGIES POSTERS
Use the following prompts during student oral reading. When a child gets stuck on a word, these phonics aligned prompts will guide them to solve the word by looking through the word to use their learned phonics knowledge, not the picture.
